Meet the 2017 NMotion Cohort

Meet the NMotion 2017 Cohort!

The Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development is a proud sponsor of the 2017 NMotion summer program. NMotion provides an intense 90-day boot camp designed to get startup companies moving forward – faster and more effectively by offering access to seed funding, hands-on education and a group of highly engaged mentors. Combining this with a cohort of fellow startups, NMotion has created a collaborative community that’s focused and accountable. They also give a shared pool of talented associates to complement skill sets with access to free or reduced services from a variety of partners and sponsors. NMotion has recently announced five startups for its 90-day program, which will begin on May 8. The program will end with a demo day on August 10, 2017.

This year’s teams are:

  • T’work: Online tool rental marketplace. Users may lend and borrow tools over a network providing safe credit card processing and effective legal agreements while saving money and actually getting to finish the job.
  • Fyiio: The next-generation training platform. Fyiio provides the framework for companies to train people with videos and text tailored to them.
  • Kiai: Kiai makes it easy for marketers to find out what is really driving results and generating traffic. Kiai provides intelligent recommendations on how to improve web content.
  • Health Connection: Health Snaps, enables healthcare providers to create and send HIPAA compliant video messages and educational video content to patients. Health Snaps can increase clinic revenue, patient retention, outcomes and satisfaction through personalized video content, automated reminders and 24/7 access.
  • Kronfeld Motors: The Raht Racer is an electric, enclosed, weather proof and safe cycling car, with all the safety features of an automotive car. They have a patented amplified pedal – a fitness program system means that when you pedal, you’ll go as fast as a car.

These startups are from Silicon Prairie and will receive $20,000 in seed capital from NMotion, in exchange for a six percent equity stake. They also will receive coworking space and access to over 100 mentors, developers and designers.

The program is funded by Invest Nebraska, members of the Nebraska Angels, and other individual investors. It is sponsored by the University of Nebraska, NUtech Ventures, Nebraska Innovation Campus, the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development and Union Bank and Trust.
